Personally I feel EFT is the most powerful of all the therapies. Results are often quicker and more effective for situations like weight issues, pain, phobias, addictions and anxiety where I have seen dramatic results that simply transform peoples lives.
EFT has become one of the most popular energy therapies available today. It is both easy to learn and its flexible nature means that it can be used to help almost any issue or problems. EFT is a simple, non-intrusive, method of defusing emotional issues and reducing the level of stress most people feel in everyday life.
It is a relatively new technique developed in the USA by Gary Craig and is now becoming more widely used and taught. It is not hypnotherapy or psychotherapy but is much simpler to learn and use than either of these therapies, so simple in fact that you can learn how to apply it in a few minutes and use it regularly on a self-help basis whenever an emotional issue, fear or phobia occurs in your life.
As well as relieving specific problems it has a cumulative effect - each issue addressed (and everyone on the planet has many) will help to reduce the overall stress level experienced. Life becomes easier and freer with every session as you lose your fears, phobias and limitations. It is truly amazing!
All that is necessary to reduce the emotional sting of many issues is to focus on the problem, summarise it in an affirmation and, while keeping the affirmation in mind, a series of points on the chest, face and hands are tapped several times, some specific eye movements are carried out, a short tune hummed and you count 1-5.
The whole procedure takes about 2 minutes once you are familiar with the sequence.
Every emotional upset you ever experience is stored in the subconscious mind. Remembering the incident or having something happen which is similar will trigger the memory and also the emotional charge which is attached to it. This manifests as an interference in the normal energy flow through the body and gives you the bad feelings.
EFT works by accessing the energy flow routes (meridians) while the interference is present i.e. while you are thinking of the issue. The tapping, eye movements, humming and counting all access different areas of the brain and work together to reduce the interference and therefore the bad feelings.
Simple issues may be cleared with one round of EFT. More complex ones may require repeat rounds with the issue being dealt with from a different perspective each time.
It is very rare for anyone to show absolutely no improvement with this technique and most people are amazed by its effectiveness.
Modern meridian therapies originated thousands of years ago, and we can date this back as far as 5000 BC. Acupuncture has been used to improve people's wellbeing and health for thousands of years. In 1964 Dr George Goodheart (a Chiropractor) researched and integrated working with muscle testing, neuro-lymphatic and neuro-vascular reflexes, cranial sutures and acupuncture meridians to discover the approach Applied Kinesiology. In the mid 1970's, a psychiatrist, John Diamond, attempted to integrate Applied Kinesiology and psychotherapy and developed the field of Behavioral Kinesiology.
Roger Callahan, a psychologist in Beverly Hills, studied with John Diamond and applied these techniques that he had learnt along with positive affirmations whilst tapping on his patients with amazing results. He then called this technique Thought Field Therapy (TFT).
In 1995 Gary Craig trained with Roger Callahan and developed EFT which he brought to the world in 1997, more and more people are discovering and working with this therapy and are amazed and pleased with the results.
